catherine - a twenty-year-old college student obsessed with vienna teng and stargate: atlantis - embarks on scholarly adventure to the holy (or holey) land, where she shall study confusing languages, discuss complicated politics and - per her father's wishes - ride at least one dromedary.
(there may or may not be a photograph involved and you may or may not get to see it.)
with any luck, she shall return to the states a more erudite (see what i did there?) individual, well versed in the ways of the arabic and the hebrew(z). with luck, skill, and maybe a god-sent plan, she will not return to the states completely broke.
(she promises to count her shekels dutifully, and not pay retail.)
